New Addition to the Web Page
I have added the Downtown Dallas Range Search List to the web page. This file is a compiled list of all my downtown Dallas scans since I started going down there to range scan. The file can be found in the Frequency Lists section with the subname of Dallas-Fort Worth Range Search List (Downtown Dallas).
Downtown Dallas Scan
I did a downtown Dallas scan this early morning and will be posting it to the blog hopefully sometime today. Also I will be adding a downtown Dallas scan file to the web page in the Frequency Lists section and updating hopefully on a regular basis now that the weather is getting warmer.

New FCC Licenses
There are another 3 new licenses that has been added to the FCC database. The first one is the Hertiage Ranch Golf Course on 465 Scenic Ranch Circle in McKinney. They have a licensed what looks like a 2 watt repeater on 452.7250. I am suspecting that they actually use more then 2 watts as both the input and output are 2 watts. The next one is the Lutheran Social Services Of The South DBA Nelson Center on 4601 Interstate 35 North in Denton. According to the license information they provide care for homeless children and the frequency is used by the maintenance crews at the facility. They have 2 simplex frequencies licensed both for 4 watts of power, 456.5125 & 457.8375. The last new license is Castle Hills Master Association which is a golf course on 2501 Queen Margaret in Dallas. They are licensed for 2 simplex frequencies with 2 watts of power on 457.5250 & 457.5500.
City shopping for new radio system
Officials say current system outdated, offers little ‘interoperability’
By Danny Gallagher, McKinney Courier-Gazette
The city’s radio communication system needs an upgrade, and officials are looking to offer better coverage and more interdepartmental capabilities.
“What we have is no longer viable,” said Don Grammar, McKinney’s director of information technology. “So we’re looking at some new digital technology.”
Representatives from the McKinney police, fire, public works and other effected departments will meet with the city’s information technology department and an unidentified consultant to discuss updating their radio system to provide more effective coverage and interoperability throughout the city, police and IT officials confirmed.

Scanner Feed Downtime
With all the storms we had today there was a power failure in my area and the machine that runs my Shoutcast server got knocked down and didn't re-power back up. I am going to be in the near future having a Backup UPS on the machine so this won't happen anytime we have a bad storm. Anyways the feed is back up and I am sorry for any inconvenience this down time may have caused.

Dallas emergency workers say they're facing a new menace: their computers.
Dallas police Sgt. Jim Shirley corrects a call sheet and answers questions from senior dispatcher Kenderly Woods. Since going online in August, the new computer-assisted dispatch system has faced a slew of problems.
Many believe public safety is at risk because of numerous problems related to the installation of a sophisticated new emergency dispatch system. According to interviews and documents obtained by The Dallas Morning News:

More New FCC Licenses
There are a bunch of new licenses in the past week to come out. The first one is the Calvary Church Assembly Of God on 4401 N Highway 161 in Dallas. They are licensed for 3 simplex frequencies, 452.8500, 462.2250 & 463.2000 all for 4 watts of power. My guess is these frequencies would be used for maintenance and security. The second one is Security Signal Devices which is a Central Station Security Company based out of Arlington. They are licensed for only 2 watts on a simplex frequency of 465.9375 which really doesn't make any sense to me. The next new license is Parking Concepts on 3217 S 22nd Avenue in Dallas. They are licensed on 453.0125 and 464.6875 both being a repeater and both with 45 watts of power. The last one is the Best Buy Corporate Office on 609 Enterprise Road in Flower Mound. They are licensed for 2 frequencies a simplex, 461.8875 for 4 watts and a repeater, 463.5125 for 40 watts. Most likely these will be used for security and maintenance operations.

Frisco P25
It seems that for some reason the new Frisco P25 Trunk has changed their system ID from
System ID AD5, WACN BEE07 to System ID DDC, WACN 926F3. But I have no idea why they decided to do this.
